About myself and ClutchLess My name is Vic Sinfield and I'm a fully qualified DSA (driving standards agency) approved instructor(ADI). Originally I taught in the Milton Keynes and Bedford area, giving manual instruction. I later moved to the AA giving instruction in automatics, before starting on my own with Clutchless. Clutchless is a dedicated automatic school giving instruction in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. My current car is a Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 automatic with full dual controls (picture above).
Driving Lessons & availability Lessons are normally 1, 1½ or 2 hours. I recommend 1½ hours as this cuts down on the unproductive time at the start and end of the lesson, but is still short enough to prevent you from becoming over tired. I keep my pupil base small and normally restrict myself to teaching around a dozen students at any time. This enables me to give you individual attention a have a good understanding of your progress and needs. I'm normally available Mon - Thurs, 9am-5pm. I try to restrict myself to only having around a dozen pupils on my books at any time, this enables me to give you my full attention. (please note I'm not normally available in the evenings or weekends) The more frequently you have lessons the quicker you learn. Why choose automatic Automatics have had a reputation in Britain as being slow and inferior to manuals, this dates back to the early days when automatic transmissions did not perform well with small engines. Like most other technology things have improved beyond belief in the past ten to fifteen years. Today's automatics are every bit as good as manuals and with the increase in traffic congestion are ideally suited to urban driving. Students driving my car for the first time are amazed at how quickly it pulls away from junctions and roundabouts. Automatics are ideal for students who have been struggling with a manual car and I get many pupils who wished they had tried one a long time ago. They are also very good for anyone who wants to get on the road quick, as it takes less driving lessons to attain test standard.
